MY PROCESS

01.

DISCOVERY

The initial stage begins with understanding business and user objectives, performing market research and competitive analysis, and conducting user interviews to establish user personas and validate assumptions.

02.

IDEATION

This is the brainstorming stage where 'How might we' questions are generated, user flows are constructed, information architecture is established and wireframes are created. The layout and content are structured to align with user and business goals, ensuring technical feasibility.

03.

DESIGN

In this stage, wireframes are transformed into low-fidelity designs or pixel-perfect prototypes including interactive elements and animations. Asset packs and documentation are prepared for developer handover.

04.

TESTING

In this final stage, the prototype thoroughly user tested to gather feedback, leading to iterative designs and flow adjustments. The process also includes A/B testing, usability analysis, and quality assurance. Further changes are made to the designs or flow and retested until the experience is intuitive and satisfying.

May 2024 - Present

Working remotely as a UX/UI designer at abodoo, an AI-driven skills mapping and job matching platform connecting talent with opportunities worldwide, elevating the user experience through intuitive designs and data-driven improvements.

 

Duties:

  • Designed and developed user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and UI handover specifications to streamline navigation and boost engagement.

  • Researched market and users to uncover pain points, informing enhancements for better usability and retention.

  • Implemented best practices and design methodologies in redesigns, including refined user flows, clearer copy, and consistent page structures for a seamless experience.

  • Created marketing assets like pitch decks, visual prototypes, infographics, and website content to promote the company and product, attracting investors and supporting growth.

UX Visual Designer

Dec 2016 - May 2017

Developed wireframes, mockups, and other digital artwork for an online fashion retailer. Built prototypes to conduct Monetate testing for qualitative analysis to iterate and rapidly adjust designs based on feedback.

Duties:

  • Redesigned the website and other elements such as icons, banners, menu, checkout steps and functionality across devices

  • Created and standardised templates for IT to use as guidelines

  • Documented all aspects of the redesign such as font sizes, padding and image size

Head of Marketing Communications

Managed a three-person communications staff of two Graphic Designers and a Marketing Manager. Directed communications action plan for national marketing events of products and services. Designed and implemented communications strategies to increase company exposure. Executed and managed plans to integrate with overall marketing tactics.

The general objective of the undergraduate program is to train professionals able to contribute in any of the development phases of a product, from the initial design, to tests and calculation of prototypes, and finally to its commercialisation.

The undergraduate program offers solid training in specific subjects of Industrial Engineering and others related with graphic design and new technology, including design in 2D and 3D, virtual animation and Web Engineering.

After this program I am able to design and develop innovative products, using digital images and new multimedia technology, and have a full multidisciplinary training in the digital, virtual and graphic fields.
